Hello,
Maybe someone can say something about the following hardware option: An Si5351 can be used instead of the crystal for the oscillator of the Si4732/35. The only thing that makes sense to me at the moment is that it means you don't have to get a high-precision, low-frequency crystal. With regard to future expansions, would it be better to use the Si5351 as the oscillator or is its use rather secondary and you could leave it with the quartz.

Si5351 will be used to extend the range of received frequencies.

Hello, thank you for your answer. But is it planned in the future that the Si5351 will replace the oscillator of the Si473x or is the use of an additional mixer planned for further development? My only concern is to replace the oscillator of the Si473x with a Si5351 in my own concept. Thank you for your reply! Best regards!

You can replace the crystal with si5351 it is supported by the firmware

Will the extended frequency coverage just require the Si5351 with the mixing inside the Si4732 or will there need to be external hardware?
Does the ATS25 Max Decoder 2 include the Si5351 or is this planned for future hardware?

ATS25 max-Decoder 2 does not contain si5351. An external mixer is used to extend the reception range

Yes, work on firmware 4.17 will be completed soon and a scheme for finalizing receivers will be published
