I have an ATS25 max-Decoder running v4.2 AIR. I read somewhere on Facebook about a firmware update that added SSTV. I turned on my ATS25 max-Decoder and it displayed a message saying a software update was available, and I clicked to download it. It reached 100% and then rebooted the radio. It went through asking me about the ITU region, and I may have fumbled the WiFi page and landed on Location after which the unit froze and wouldn't respond. I power-cycled the unit and it froze on a WELCOME screen. After an attempt to reinstall V4.2 I somehow got it going on 4.2 again.
The real question is whether there is an update and if not, what was the radio downloading?
