I cannot reach my router with the ATS25 max decoder II.
I have to literally sit in front of my router to get a connection.
Does anybody have a similar issues? I have tried two different WiFi antennas, but nothing helps.
Firmware is 4.2 beta. but it not work with 4.17 either.

Did you check the U.FL RF connector at the ESP32?
Sometimes the RSMA pigtail isn't plugged correctly but it seems to be (it's a bit fiddly to plug it propperly).

I am not sure that it is an issue with the esp32 antenna connection.
When i disconnect the antenna the signal to the foreign AP is lower. After plugging in the antenna it is stronger.
But still does not solve my issues.
What annoys me that sometimes the WiFi scanner can see my AP with a good signal and then suddenly cannot.

Wifi issues with the ATS25 max decoder II
My ATS25 max-Decoder, build 4.17 Air beta, was purchased 35 days ago so I could evaluate it's performance at the request of a friend who also purchased one. The device worked remarkably well, very impressive, until today when it began spontaneous resets at random intervals until I loaded Factory Defaults.
Normal operation resumed, (including the boot notification for SI473x addr: 63), until I enabled the WiFi (which defaults to OFF) and searched for a network. 15 networks were found and most had full signal strength. When I selected a network and saved the configuration the device immediately reset and displayed "SI473x not detected". A power cycle results in a boot display that reports "SI473x addr: 63" and the device resumes the constant, random, reboot behavior again.
I was able to load factory defaults and repeat the WiFi settings that lead to the failure three more times. Everything works great, quite impressive in my opinion, until I save a WiFi network at which time it fails and begins to constantly reset at random intervals. Note that the battery level is always above 3 volts and the resets continue even while charging. No attempts have been made to alter or update the OS.
I am going to try to return this item to the store in the morning and see if a replacement is available. I'll share these details with the retailer.

Wifi issues with the ATS25 max decoder II
Nowadays you can find fakes on sale. Your receiver has a problem with power supply and it is possible that you bought a non-original receiver that does not solve this problem.

Wifi issues with the ATS25 max decoder II
Thank you for the reply.
How can I, or anyone, tell if a fake or an original has been purchased?
How can I test or evaluate the power supply?
I can tell you that the device draws 470 mA during the POST and finally rests idle at 370 mA with volume at 50%, no carrier tuned, and wifi disabled. The device draws 430 mA when wifi is enabled but soon after that it begins to do the rolling resets.
The battery level meter reports 100% when 4 volts are applied to the battery connector and 0% when 3 volts are applied. The power source for this test is a Hewlett Packard model E3611A DC Power Supply.
