reinstall the key on a new radio

Since my ATS25X2 has failed I use a brand new one. After installing the 4.2 fw I cannot use the key I purchased with the old one. the activation software displays "error activation : another device is already using this key". It was mine ! So you can disable the old device but I still wan to use this key
please help
